Polar July news: Removing dc resistance from characteristic impedance measurement.

DC resistance and characteristic impedance are both measured in ohms – and it may come as a surprise that they are not the same thing –
though both are important.  The two however should not be mixed.

This presentation from the EIPC 2022 summer conference in Sweden explains how to remove the effect of dc resistance from TDR measurement of trace characteristic impedance.

On the product front – Polar is adding a whole new enhanced Impedance View facility into  Speedstack – expect an update in the next
few weeks.
