Polar May news: Gradient method (Beta) roughness model in Si9000e / SYTECH materials now in Speedstack libraries / EIPC Summer conference
1. Gradient method for insertion loss modeling added as a beta feature in Si9000e 23_05**. This method uses RMS roughness Rq for modeling the effects of copper surface on insertion loss. Contact polarcare@polarinstruments.com or your local office for an update or evaluation.
Here are a few screenshots using the optional Si Projects feature to visualise how Gradient compares with legacy methods like Hammerstad and Groisse.

P.S. Any feedback or correlation studies with other tools using Gradient method is most welcome.
** For the security minded – Si9000e and Si8000m 23_05 also deploys FLEXlm v11.19.00
